Line 6 Guitar Port Reviews 4

Line 6 Guitar Port

The bottom line is, line six at this time is the leader in guitar amp modeling. everyone is trying to emulate the warm, harmonic-rich sound of a class A tube amp, the line 6 engineers have done a great job. I use (like many other artists) line 6 effects with a tube amp. you can hear my sound at my website 16 bit sound. http://www.16bitsound.... [read more on Audiofanzine]

I feel the Line 6 Guitar Port is well worth the relatively small investment. [read more on Audiofanzine]

Great sound, but it is useless for recording loops for Cakewalk or Acid Pro. To do what I originally wanted to do, I still have to purchase a recording machine, such as a Korg Pandora PXR4 4-track digital recording studio. Which costs around $300 plus tax and shipping. With that machine, I hope to be able to record the Acid or Cakewalk dru... [read more on Audiofanzine]

It's a nice looking, nicely made gadget. It's made by Line 6, who did not put nearly as much into the driver support as they did with the paint job. Without good drivers, it's a hell of an expensive doorstop, and now the company disregards the importance of all Windows XP users. They must be living in the f*cking Twilight Zone! Since I can't ge... [read more on Audiofanzine]

OK, I am not a professional musician. I doodle on the guitar. This thing is great for what I need. I spend an hour in the basement, I am jamming with ZZ-Top, SRV, Hendrix, Stray Cats at ear splitting volume on the headphones, while my wife and kids are sleaping. Perfect. You should check that you have at least 128MB RAM and 40MB free storage so everything runs smooth.I am using Windows XP and it works very well. If you don't have buddys to jam with or you just want a cool way to practice the Line 6 guitar port is your ticket. If only I had this when I was learning to play guitar it would have sped things up al... [read more on Audiofanzine]

Just as a great amp (or a half dozen amp) and distortion that blows my GP-100 out the door I love this thing. It's the best piece of guitar equiptment I have ever purchased for the price; hands down. [read more on Audiofanzine]

Gimmick. GEE-EYE-EM-EM-EYE-CEE-KAY gimmick! It looks real neat, it sounds pretty neat, but it doesn't do anything without the online service and it doesn't do very much even with it. Okay so it's got the amp modeling, but there's boxes that do that, there's software that does that, either of which is probably cheaper, and there's no reason yo... [read more on Audiofanzine]
